What is the bone Caldo?

Bone Broth is a nutritious liquid made from simmering or boiling the bones of an animal in the water for a long period of time. This broth can boil the bones or meat of poultry, beef, lamb or fish). The bones can be boiled from anywhere between 6 to 40 hours. As bones are boiling releasing minerals in the broth it can be easily absorbed. After boiling is completed, the bones used strained liquid and discarded. The remaining liquid is bone broth or also called values.

To achieve a greater amount of gelatin in the broth bone is best to allow the bones to cool in the refrigerator. After a day of cooling you will be able to see the “gelatin” as formed gelatin. The amount of gelatin in bone broth may be visible as gel as a moving texture. The amount of gelatin from the bones can vary each time you make this broth. Also it may not be visible because it has a lot of water and gelatin is not so condensed.

The gelatin bone broth is considered as having potent healing properties. Gelatin has been a known remedy for many different digestive and conditions related to the intestines. How do bone broth

What you’ll need:

  • 1 2 to 3 pounds of bones (poultry, animals fed grass, beef or fish, preferably)
  • vinegar

  • apple cider or fresh lemon (optional)
  • large pot or slow cooker
  • vegetables or spices (optional)

Instructions:

for bone and gelatin: When finished cooking the meat for a meal , save the bones and fat of beef. Store the bones and the drippings in the refrigerator overnight. This will also allow gelatin to form and increase the amount present in bone broth. The next day, when you are ready to make the broth, take the bones and drips out. 1. Place the bones and gelatin in a large pot. You can use a large pot and boil on the stove or slow cooker can be used.

2. Pour water in large pot with bones and gelatin until the bones are completely covered with water.

3. Add one or two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar or freshly squeezed lemon
