2014 NCADD Alcohol Awareness Month: “Help for Today, Hope for Tomorrow.” ;

Since 1987, the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. (NCADD) has sponsored Alcohol Awareness Month every April to raise public awareness and understanding, reduce stigma and encourage local communities to focus on Alcohol abuse , alcoholism and alcohol-related problems. This April, NCADD highlights the important public health problem of alcohol, a problem with the devastating individual, family, and community consequences. With 2014 being the topic “ Help for Today, Hope for Tomorrow ,” the whole month of April will be filled with local, state ordinances and national events aimed at educating people on treatment and prevention of alcoholism.
