Preventive Suicide Update features on Facebook ;

Facebook has officially updated its suicide prevention function where users can contact Facebook when a friend posts something concerning. The next logon that friend, Facebook will ask a series of questions and respond with the help accordingly. Updates function make it much easier to report suicidal or self-injurious messages, as the report function is built in each position. “The new reporting feature is currently available for 50 percent of Facebook users in the US and spread to the rest of the country in the coming months,” according to a spokesman for Facebook. We hope that more teens will think about getting help as a result of these changes. If you or someone you know is going through a period of depression, please ask for help.
