Myth: Grains are an essential source of fiber

In the US, the Department of Agriculture has been and continues to be strongly linked to agribusiness grain-centric, pressure groups that are even more powerful than the pharmaceutical industry. As a result, the government issued heavy subsidies to anyone growing wheat, corn or other grains, at the expense of public health.
Myth: Grains are an essential source of vitamins and nutrients
