Pods or senna leaves

Its pods or leaves can be purchased at most pharmacies and can be used without a prescription. To make this tea, boil some pods or senna leaves in a small pot of water. Let cool and drink a small cup of tea at bedtime. You can add some grains of Epsom salts to the infusion to reduce grip pain. To perform this fast, whether for 10 days or 21 days, you must completely eliminate all forms of animal protein from the diet, including meat, milk, eggs or cheese. Do: Drink a glass of water an hour before or after meals.

No: replace water with juices or soft drinks. Water in its simple form is what the body needs to hydrate. Sugary drinks can contribute to constipation.

Slippery Elm

Finally, the slippery elm bark (available in capsules in most pharmacies) is a digestive herbal reliever, as it covers the mucous lining of the stomach and intestines and improves bowel movements. Acting as a lubricant, it can make "going" softer and less painful. Be sure to take these capsules as directed by your pharmacist, preferably on an empty stomach.
