Teenagers: Stand up for what you believe ;

As a teenager, who is still developing his unique sense of self. At the same time, you may see the world of unique and distinctive ways. You may have developed ideas, beliefs and thoughts about the world, or perhaps your community can be improved or done a little better.

However, one of the biggest obstacles for those who have something important to contribute to the world is doubt. The philosopher Bertrand Russell described it this way:

The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts.

Often, for those who have a belief that want to fight for a cause or who want to defend, they have to find the courage and confidence in themselves to do so. The following are suggestions to help build the courage and confidence so you can fight for what you believe.

  • Do not compare yourself with others. Despite compared with others is easy to do, especially when you have faith in your own life, this is the first thing that weakens confidence. There is only one life to live and that is yours. Recognize that the ideas and thoughts that you are experiencing have value. This is precisely what makes you unique.
  • find their strengths and weaknesses. Knowing what their forces can add to a sense of feeling good about yourself. Knowing your weaknesses can be so important. When faced with a difficult task, for example, instead of pretending to know how to get it done and then fail (which can dampen your self-confidence), you can ask for help or just admit that you do not have that ability.   • Trust your own feelings. This is difficult to do when you may have been taught that their feelings are not trustworthy. Often, we are taught to rely on reason and logic instead. However, feelings are a certain kind of intelligence that can lead to building self-confidence which in turn can increase self-confidence.
  • Set realistic goals for yourself. As you continue to build your self-confidence, set goals for what you want to fight. They have specific objectives. In defense of what one believes it is also going to take action and commitment. In reaching its objectives and scope, self-confidence only improve.

There are many triggers that can undermine self-confidence, especially in adolescence.
